Members of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) have completed a MINT approved Training of New Trainers (TNT) workshop, which qualifies them for membership. This does not certify or guarantee training competence.
MINT also offers a voluntary MINT Certified Trainer Program, in which members have completed professional development requirements and a formal assessment of their MI training skills to demonstrate a high level of competence in MI training. MINT Certified Trainers can be identified in the MINT Certified Trainers section.
Because trainers differ in background, skills, and experience, organizations seeking a MI trainer are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence—including reviewing a trainer’s experience, training approach, and references—to ensure the best fit for their needs.
