To cap off HETI’s Valentine’s Week Extravaganza and following his “Teaching MI in Agencies, Institutions & Schools” workshop, Stephen will be leading his eleventh annual forum to bring together new and old graduates on Friday, February 14th, 2020. This will be a chance for getting together to reflect on our experiences with bringing MI to a larger audience, to learn a little more about MI, and to discuss our future efforts at increasing the use of MI in our various communities.
In this advanced, intensive 3-day training, proficiency in understanding Motivational Interviewing (MI) is assumed as a starting point so applicants must already have substantial familiarity and experience with Motivational Interviewing. The focus is on training and coaching skills toward teaching MI and to facilitate the learning of MI by others. This training does not focus on acquisition of proficiency in the clinical skills themselves.
