This four-day symposium will offer a series of techniques for transforming the most problematic challenges encountered in everyday caregiving. The spirit, skills and structure of Motivational Interviewing are immediately applicable to clinicians, healthcare workers, therapists, and caregivers in all kinds of clinical settings. Here we will approach the daunting task of creating hope within hopelessness, gracefully exploring a person's spirituality and looking at trauma through a compassionate lens.
What is MI? What are the possible applications? How can it benefit the people I work with? The Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) is sponsoring this open house for anyone interested and curious about MI. This is an opportunity to learn more about Motivational Interviewing and its possible applications. Have you already heard about MI and find yourself wanting to get more information? This is your chance to ask questions and hear from experienced practitioners of MI from a variety of disciplines including: health care, education, corrections, substance use treatment, organizational leadership, training, and consulting. This event is hosted by the MINT+ committee.
