This course invites and challenges students to look deeper, to do more complex reflections, and to give themselves more feedback. Participants will look at the skills that will help get clients to the ambivalence and the struggle. At the end of the course participants will Demonstrate and practice MI in action by applying MI in a live, recorded conversation.

A facilitator led 12 hour online course, consisting of four, weekly three hour sessions. In the Intermediate course participants will expand on theoretical principals, deepen understanding, increase technique and strategic range while developing skill base to progress competency and proficiency.

The introductory Motivational Interviewing training is appropriate for professionals and professionals-in-training who have had no prior or some exposure to Motivational Interviewing techniques.
