Intermediate Motivational Interviewing training is an intensive skill-building session. Participants are expected to arrive prepared to practice the skills that were learned in the introductory level training. DIMENSIONS: Motivational Interviewing for Behavior Change - Level II (Advanced)This two-day intensive training will focus on advanced application of Motivational Interviewing (MI) for healthcare professionals, including methods for: 

• Strategically eliciting and strengthening change and commitment talk; 
• Decreasing and managing discord; 
• Deepening skills of engagement and evocation.

THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED Motivational Interviewing 200 is aimed at providers and students that have had some previous MI training in their graduate programs, external workshops, or other forms of formal study. It is assumed participants will have attended at the very least, 2-3 days of in-person MI training within the last 5 years.

Motivational Interviewing Intermediate Level Course

This course is open to people who have a sufficient degree of theoretical knowledge and a practical experience of applying M.I. In the Intermediate course participants will expand on theoretical principals, deepen understanding, increase technique range and develop skill base to progress competency.

Course has been awarded 12 CPD hours by The Addiction Counsellors of Ireland.

MI: Deepening Your Skills

 Full-Day - Foundational Skills of Motivational Interviewing – Part I

Motivational Interviewing (MI), first described by William Miller (1983), and later elaborated in the classic book—Motivational Interviewing: Preparing People for Change (1991, 2002, 2014)—offers a practical, evidence-based approach for supporting clients in making and sustaining healthy behavior changes. 

This full-day, in-person training will provide you with a solid understanding of the basics of MI and practical skills to continue your own growth.

Motivational Interviewing 2-Day Training

This is a MI Skill Building experience that learners can immediately use upon returning to work. This training is an educational experience in learning motivational Interviewing to fidelity in a fun learning environment. This MI training is being conducted at the beautiful Graceland University in Independence, Missouri.
