Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered, evidence-based practice goal oriented method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence, the struggle within.
We have adapted our usual two-day workshop for a virtual tele-conferencing format to provide participants with an opportunity to explore creative ways of integrating these approaches into an effective therapeutic intervention -- when to use, when not to use Motivational Interviewing. Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, evidence-based, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence.
