This five-week instructor-led course encompasses the purpose, mindset and heart-set, tasks, core interviewing skills, and guiding methods of MI. Participants engage in learning through webcasts, written materials, videos, exercises, and practice opportunities.
During this four-week online workshop, participants will learn: the fundamentals of motivational interviewing, the core OARS strategies of the motivational interviewing process, ways to identify and elicit change talk, as well as strategies for exploring and resolving ambivalence. The learning process is varied across several modalities, to maximize your opportunity to familiarize yourself with motivational interviewing as it can be applied in your practice.
