This one day training is designed to give the participant an introduction to the key principals and concepts of Motivational Interviewing. This course will provide participants an overview of the principles and skills of MI. Participants will be guided through a sequence of learning activities to explore and shape their helping practice, and to initiate a process for developing proficiency in MI. Learning activities will include, but may not be limited to demonstrations, videotape examples, “real‐plays,” fictional case studies, small group exercises, and participant practice with feedback. Course cost is $175 and includes 5.5 endorsed CEU's from the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon.
