Bristow and Onna Brewer, are excited to offer this highly interactive, online course
walking participants through use of the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity 4.2.1
Coding Manual (“the MITI”) for fidelity coding of audio recordings. We’ll also practice
providing helpful and MI-consistent coding feedback for MI learners and discuss ways
to grow in coding proficiency and reliability.
Ali Hall leads this workshop using presentations, readings, transcripts, audiotape, DVD and group practice. Participants will learn to recognize and categorize common elements of practitioner or clinician competence in Motivational Interviewing. Participants for this workshop should have experience in Motivational Interviewing and a desire to learn the MITI 4.2.1 for supervisory, training or research purposes. This course will include large group exercises and individual or small group coding practice.
