This workshop is for professionals who already practice MI skills in their work. Participants in this training will have the opportunity to discuss their clinical challenges, to receive feedback on their skills from peer learners, and to find one’s own voice within the style of Motivational Interviewing. This is, essentially, a full day of practice with feedback from a MINT trainer.
~~This interactive workshop will focus on advanced elements of MI. Practicing and measuring the advanced skills of listening, responding to discord and change talks will be the components of this workshop. Integrating MI with other approaches will be addressed.
Participants will be able to:
• Demonstrate the ability to evoke and amplify change talk.
• Practice and demonstrate high-level MI skills, including complex reflections.
• Develop individual plans for implementation and support of their MI practice.
