Heidi Knizacky is a trainer, consultant, and clinician with more than 25 years of experience translating research into practical strategies that improve outcomes for youth and families, individuals, and organizations. Her clinical background includes extensive work as both a home-based and outpatient therapist. In 2015, Heidi founded Applied Research Consultants (APPRECOTS), a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing effective, empathic, and equitable support practices through data evaluation, program design, and education.
Heidi leads APPRECOTS' highly sought-after presenter team, who are known for making complex concepts accessible, engaging, and immediately applicable to real-world practice. Heidi is the co-leader of Motivational Interviewing training and technical support initiatives for Michigan public mental health programs serving adults experiencing serious mental illness.
