The introductory Motivational Interviewing training is appropriate for professionals/professionals-in-training who have had no prior or some exposure to Motivational Interviewing techniques. People whose work involves helping clients achieve behavior change, (i.e., Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Physicians, Nurses, Case Workers, Outreach Workers, Dieticians, Therapists, Clergy, Personal Trainers, Probation/Parole Officers etc.) will benefit most from this intensive MI training.
This 3-day intensive workshop (April 6,7 and 20, 2020) from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm each day offers an introduction in the theory and practice of motivational interviewing. In a small group of participants you will work on practicing skills, strategies and techniques of motivational interviewing. Recording of a real conversation with a client, plus feedback, will be part of the workshop.
This 4 hour virtual workshop only requires you have a computer to log in to to see the information and videos and be able to remotely have conversations with those at the workshop on the Zoom platform.

This 2 day in person training will not only introduce you to the spirit and skills of MI but give lots of practice and exercises to quickly advance your skills.
