Walid Hassan, MSc, MD, PhD, MRCPsych, is consultant psychiatrist, psychotherapist, a Motivational Interviewing Trainer and Founder of MINT Arabia a learning community to spead the MI in Arabic countries
As a psychiatrist, he worked directly with a variety of clients, including youth, families, adults with substance issues, and mental health issues.
As a lecturer of psychiatry and national trainer in the mental health council, he trained many professionals across multiple fields, such as the psychiatry, mental health for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses.
After founding MINT Arabia network, he started to spread MI training in the Arabic region by providing introductory and advanced Motivational Interviewing training, coding, and one-on-one coaching, and feedback
MI is an evidence based practice that respect autonomy and as a trainer my role is to make MI trainings accesible to Arab countries
