Todd is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, and Certified Clinical Supervisor. He has a Master of Education degree in Guidance and Counseling from Virginia State University and a Graduate Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University. He has worked in clinical and operations leadership in behavioral health for nearly 20 years. He has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues in outpatient, community based, and residential treatment settings. Todd’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and relies heavily on evidence-based practices which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
Todd has served as the primary clinical trainer for a large community behavioral health provider and has trained extensively in Motivational Interviewing and a wide range of clinical topics.
