I am a Motivational Interviewing (MI) member dedicated to helping professionals build meaningful, client-centered conversations that inspire change. With a strong foundation in behavioral health and coaching, I specialize in teaching practical MI skills that enhance engagement, strengthen relationships, and support lasting outcomes.
My approach to training is interactive, strengths-based, and grounded in real-world application. I focus on creating a learning environment where participants feel confident practicing core MI techniques such as open-ended questioning, reflective listening, and eliciting change talk.
In addition to individual skill development, I specialize in applying MI within organizations and leadership settings through my group practice, Motivational Counseling, which I founded in 2025. I support teams and leaders in integrating MI principles into organizational culture, supervision, and systems change to promote collaboration, accountability, and sustainable growth.
I am passionate about empowering individuals and teams to move beyond directive communication and toward collaborative partnerships that respect autonomy and foster growth. Whether working with clinicians, case managers, or community professionals, my goal is to make MI approachable, effective, and sustainable in everyday practice.
My work as a Motivational Interviewing trainer is grounded in a deep respect for autonomy, collaboration, and the belief that people already carry the wisdom and capacity for change within them. I am committed to bringing the spirit of MI—partnership, acceptance, compassion, and empowerment—into every training space I facilitate.
I strive to create engaging, experiential learning environments where participants feel safe to practice, reflect, and grow. My trainings emphasize practical skill-building, including reflective listening, strategic questioning, and recognizing and responding to change talk, while also helping learners embody the relational spirit that makes MI effective.
Through my group practice, Motivational Counseling (founded in 2025), I have developed a specialization in supporting organizations and leaders in integrating MI into their culture, supervision, and systems. I am particularly passionate about helping teams move from directive models to more collaborative, person-centered approaches that enhance both client outcomes and staff satisfaction.
My goal as a trainer is not only to teach MI techniques, but to support lasting transformation—within individuals, teams, and systems—by making MI accessible, meaningful, and sustainable in everyday practice.
