Tara says:
'Motivational Interviewing is a foundational communication style for practice as it equips us all to ethically, effectively and compassionately assist clients who typically feel ambivalent about the behaviour changes they are considering in order to improve their health. Teaching MI to other Health Practitioners and seeing how it impacts their confidence and enjoyment of their chosen profession is work that really matters to me and I thoroughly enjoy! I put a great deal of effort into keeping my training fun, interactive, experiential and relevant.'
Tara's trainees span a variety of disciplines including GPs, Practice Nurses, Diabetes Educators, Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers, Occuptaional Therapists, Exercise Physiologists and Dietitians.
