Hello! I am from North Carolina, USA. I currently work at UNC as a consultant and trainer for the UNC ACT TA Center, Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health. I've been training in MI for a couple of years and love it. Typically I work with folks in the mental health, substance use and health fields. I love to travel and love to meet new folks. I am hoping that MI and working to help others gain MI skills will be my life's work from now on.
I have years of mental health experience and have been a clinician, consultant and trainer. I've worked with a variety of clinical populations (children, families, HIV/AIDS, those with a psychotic disorder diagnosis) and providers (from doctors to Peer Specialists). I believe in Motivational Interviewing,becuase I've seen it work time after time.
