I work the majority of my time as the Clinical Lead in an NHS Early Intervention Team in the UK. I was a therapist in the MIDAS trial, the largest trial to date of MI for people experiencing psychosis and using substances. In my team we use MI throughout our work with adolescents, adults and their families helping people make decisions about school, substance use, medication use, and living an altogether better life.
I have trained a wide range of professionals throughout the UK and Europe. The training I deliver always includes experiential methods with a strong focus on building empathy for the clients participants work with. Also, training courses are organized to ensure competency in MI by including one to one coaching in skills.
