I am a Nurse, certificated diabetes educater(in Japan), had workled at an outpatient section of a hospital for 20years. Thanks to MI, I feel it turned so easy to help patients resolve their ambivalence. I saw many patient who fed up with self-management, medical staffs who struggle with motivating patients, and both of them end up giving up all efforts. I thought if I might be able to be a help for it, and which was why now I'm here.

＜慢性疾患患者を支える看護師として＞自己管理に疲れてしまった患者さんを熱心に指導しながら燃え尽きてしまう専門家の方々を多く目にしてきました。自己管理を難しくする状況の背景には、色んな「実は」があります。「できない」「僕はこうすると決めてるだけなんです」そのような思いの中にある、患者さんご自身の体験を共に紐解き、たくさんの「実は」に出会ってきました。その背景には思いもかけない別の診断が隠れていることもあります。簡単には話しづらい、辛い思いや戸惑いの中から一筋の道筋を見つけた、そのお顔を拝見する時が一番私にとって掛け替えのない時間です。

<難病疑い患者(当事者)として>
一時期、寝たきりになるかと思うほどの強い症状を経験し、医療制度の抱える限界に気がつきました. 我が子はほとんどヤングケアラーを体験し、その時の体験は私にとって、各種制度の谷間で境界域にいる子に届かない現状の社会制度への課題意識を強く持つ貴重な契機となりました。今、これらの経験は社会に恩返ししたいと言うモティベーションにつながっています。

<不登校(当事者)家族として>
不登校の抱える問題は大きく分けて３つあります。①突然折れる時、本人の言動は、あたかもメンタルの問題かの様相で、実際には背後に身体疾患があっても、適切な支援に繋がりにくい　②教育を受ける権利の確保もままならず、その回復過程は親が抱え込まざるを得ない制度になっていること。共働きが8割とも言われる時代において、親が抱え込める課題ではないこと。③現状の社会制度では、これらのケアや調整を社会生活と両立するのは困難で主に女性のみが離職を含む負担を請け負わざるをえないこと

当事者家族としての道のりは文字どおり森の中を歩くような心境でした。MIはその道のりの一部で、私にとって大きな支えになりました。

制度の谷間にいる対象者にとって、時に必要な支援は必ずしも心理支援ではないかもしれませんが、どのような厳しい状況下にあっても対象者本人の自問自答のサポートを行えるのがMIでもあると考えます。

必要なスキルが、必要な人に届くように私自身研鑽を続けていきたいと考えております。
