Psicóloga graduada pela Universidade São Marcos, em 1992. Especialista em Dependências pela UNIAD, de 1998 a 1999, ano em que também concluiu o Mestrado em Saúde Mental pelo Departamento de Psiquiatria e Psicologia Médica, ambos da UNIFESP (Universidade Federal de São Paulo). Posteriormente, entre 2000 e 2004, concluiu o doutorado em Ciências, também pela UNIFESP. Na Educação, trabalhou por 25 anos na UNIFESP (Universidade Federal de São Paulo), no Departamento de Psicobiologia e no Departamento de Psiquiatria e Psicologia Médica, sendo por 6 anos como Professora Filiada Modalidade: Docência / Auxílio na Escola Paulista de Medicina. Desde sua graduação, trabalhou em consultório particular com Entrevista Motivacional e Psicoterapeuta Cognitivo-Comportamental. É associada ao MINT (Rede de Entrevistas Motivacionais de Treinadores) - Albuquerque, NM até 2008. Seu treinamento em Entrevista Motivacional foi realizado na Universidade do Novo México / Centro para Alcoolismo, Abuso de Substâncias e Dependência (UNM / CASAA). No dia 9 de maio de 2023, Neliana foi certificada como instrutora de MI, demonstrando com sucesso um alto nível de excelência em treinamento de entrevista motivacional pelo MINT. Publicou vários livros e artigos científicos; cursos e treinamentos para profissionais em Entrevista Motivacional e Transtorno pelo uso de substâncias.

She is a specialist in Addiction by UNIAD, from 1998 to 1999, the year in which she also completed her Master's in Mental Health in the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology, both at UNIFESP (Universidade Federal de São Paulo). Later, between 2000 and 2004, she completed her doctorate in Sciences, also by UNIFESP.
In Education, she worked for 25 years at UNIFESP (Federal University of São Paulo), at the Department of Psychobiology and the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology, being for 6 years as an Affiliated Professor Modality: Teaching / Assistance at Escola Paulista de Medicina.
Since her graduation, she has worked in private practice as a Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist.
She is associated with MINT (Network of Motivational Interviews of Trainers) – Albuquerque, NM until 2008, trained in Motivational Interviewing by the University of New Mexico / Center for Alcoholism, Substance Abuse and Addiction (UNM / CASAA). On the 9th Day of May 2023, Neliana was certified MI Trainer with successfully demonstrated a high level of excellence in motivational interviewing training by MINT.
She has published several books and scientific articles; courses and training for professionals in Motivational Interviewing and Addiction.
Ofereço treinamento em EM nos níveis Básico, Intermediário e Avançado para profissionais da rede pública e privada, clínicas, hospitais, educação e serviços de saúde. Eu também trabalho em consultório particular com saúde mental e transtornos por uso de substâncias. Tive a sorte de ter sido treinada pela Dra. Carolina Yahne e de ter participado da amostragem de um ensaio clínico realizado no CASAA em 2002, que mudou a forma como me posicionei pessoal e profissionalmente. Após esta fase, tive excelentes treinadores em meu treinamento e na associação com MINT mantém meu conhecimento sempre com o desejo de compartilhá-lo com outras pessoas. Recentemente, em 09/05/23 obtive a certificação do MINT como Instrutora de EM , a primeira no Brasil.

I also work in private practice with mental health and substance use disorders.
I was fortunate to have been trained by Dr. Carolina Yahne and to have participated in the sampling of a clinical trial conducted at CASAA in 2002, which changed the way I positioned myself personally and professionally. After this stage, I had excellent trainers in my training and the association with MINT maintains my knowledge always with the desire to share it with others. Recently, on 05/09/23, I obtained the MINT Certified MI Trainers, the first in Brazil.
