Miranda is a trainer/consultant in Prince George, BC, which is situated upon the traditional territory of the Lheidli T'enneh ("the people where the two rivers flow together"). Miranda has provided virtual and in-person trainings since 2010. Her graduate and undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Victoria with emphasis on anti-oppressive practice, working with trauma, and child welfare specialization. Miranda is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and member of Somatic Experiencing International (SEI: www.traumahealing.org). SEI is the leading authority on the Somatic Experiencing method; a body-orientated model for healing trauma. Miranda's practice background involves addictions, mental health, and working with trauma among children, youth, and adults in both private practice and public education. Miranda takes a compassionate, inclusive, and anti-oppressive approach with an intentional focus on emphasizing the inherent resiliency and capacity among the people she works with as both a trainer/consultant and clinical practitioner.
