Hi, thanks for having a look. I currently work at the University of North Carolina School of Social Work as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Director of Substance Use & Addictions Specialty Program, and Workforce Development Trainer for evidence-based practices under the Behavioral Health Resources Program. Prior to this I worked in Germany on Ramstein Air Base as an International Counselor for U.S. military personnel and their families. My career before moving to Germany centered around program development and implementation, clinical supervision and training, and budget and finance. Areas of particular expertise include: motivational interviewing; adolescent and family development; substance use treatment; family, group and multi-family group therapy; couples therapy; adolescent trauma; clinical supervision and management; staff development; the ethics of self-care; and program evolution.
Examples of MI Training Options:
Credentials: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Clinical Supervisor (NCSAPPB), NC NASW Approved Supervisor
This is not your grandfather's training (not that anything is wrong with grandpa!). Eat a good breakfast, roll-up your sleeves, and be prepared to get wet. Training sessions should not be a dreaded obligation for your staff. Instead, participants should enjoy the learning opportunity and leave invigorated by the investment of their time and your resources. I know the material, have pertinent experience, and am known for offering dynamic, engaging workshops. Testimonials and references are available upon request.
