I'm rather geeky about MI...and I LOVE THE MINT! My educational background is in public health and psychology. I've worked at the University of Michigan since 1993. Most of my work has been in the alcohol and other drugs area (BASICS-IMEP) and I currently manage Wellness Coaching and the Wellbeing Academy as an Assistant Director in Wolverine Wellness. I also train in MI privately, outside of my University work on a variety of topics, including teaching MI at Eastern Michigan University (School of Social Work) and the University of Michigan (School of Public Health).
Marsha Benz provides Motivational Interviewing (MI) training for a variety of professionals in health care, health education, addictions treatment, mental health, social services, student conduct and higher education. She has been conducting MI trainings since 2007 on the University of Michigan campus and in her private business. She provides trainings and informational sessions for MI from 1-20 hours, including supervision. Trainings can be tailored to the participants' needs.
