Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University. I have approx. 30+ years of experience as a social worker/counselor/psychotherapist working with behavioral change, including addiction and treatment adherence in a variety of settings. I have provided MI supervision in both clinical and research settings.
Licensed to practice clinical social work/psychotherapy at the independent practice level in the State of Tennessee (LCSW), Texas (LCSW-S), Washington State (LICSW), and New York State (LCSW--inactive status). Board Approved Social Work Supervisor State of Texas.
I have done MI training for individuals with education levels ranging from high school graduate to MD/Ph.D. in both clinical and research settings. The beauty of MI is inherent in its applicability to a variety of settings, situations, and interventive techniques, and the capacity of trainees from extremely diverse backgrounds and with wide-ranging levels of academic training to learn and apply Motivational Interviewing. I consider it a privilege to be an MI Trainer.
