Kevin Fisher is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Manager with Specialist Psychological Outreach Team (SPOT) and Clinical Director of b.kids Psychological Services in Western Australia, Australia. He provides contracted services including psychological treatment, training, and consultation to the Department of Child Protection, Youth Focus, and the Department of Corrective Services regarding adolescents and young adults of high risk throughout Western Australia, including Perth Metro, Peel, South West, Wheatbelt, Pilbara, Kimberley, and Goldfields. He has trained, supervised, and treated individuals in industrial companies on workplace safety, neuropsychology, and employee assistance services throughout Australia and around the world. He served as the Clinical Supervisor/Facility Manager of the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission in Canada, working intensively in inpatient and outpatient programs with substance using adults, youth and their families. Kevin has run intensive adult anger management courses, developed and facilitated a Youth Anger Management Group for the Comprehensive Family Violence Institute, sat on the Provincial Program Development Committee developing and implementing new Adolescent Residential and Detoxification Programs in Edmonton and Calgary, and in implementing service responses for individuals suffering from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). He was a primary instructor on addictions courses to new Addictions Counsellors in the Province of Alberta.
Kevin is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. He has taught Motivational Interviewing to audiences around Canada, Australia, the United States, South Africa and Belgium to participants from around the world.
