I am a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in North Carolina in the United States. I have worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2007 in a range of roles including primary care, palliative care and hospice, and doing consult and liaison work. I have been a member of the MINT since 2012. I have participated in the VA's nationwide MI training efforts since 2013, providing training and consultation. Since 2021 I have participated in a range of trainings and certificate programs in the use of psychedelic substances to augment psychotherapy; I work in my medical center's ketamine assisted psychotherapy program. My Humanistic orientation and training in Motivational Interviewing inform my work with psychedelics, and I have begun offering Introductory Motivational Interviewing trainings for psychedelic practitioners via the Pearl Psychedelic Institute in Waynesville NC.
