I have been the BH team leader in a multi-specialty medical group practice in Western Massachusetts, USA from 2001-2023. I continue as a busy generalist behavioral health practice with a specialty in SUDs and couples therapy. One of my many roles in the practice has been to coach and consult to the primary care practitioners as well as our front line office staff on behavior change, managing difficult patients, team based primary care and I am on the practice Board of Directors of the practice. I have a particular interest in diabetes care, team work, integration of behavioral health care and primary care.
I have a separate, small training practice in addition to my work at Valley Medical Group. I am available to provide MI coaching and training in person and virtually to individuals and groups who want to improve MI skills or bring MI into their work. Along with a partner, I provide training in collaborative management of residents in subsidized housing settings using MI spirt and skills.
