About Me

I'm a psychologist at Specialty Behavioral Health who provides patient care in San Diego, CA, and telebehavioral health services for residents across California.  Specifically, I may use Motivational Interviewing to help clients who may be ambivalent about making changes or accessing specialized care for substance use, OCD, or other health challenges.  In addition to being a member of MINT, I am a diplomate in the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, and a certified behavior therapist by International OCD Foundation.  I have no formal affiliations with any treatment programs, and I do not ever receive any form of compensation, renumeration, or other benefits from any programs (i.e., no conflicts of interest).

I offer training and consultation for other professionals and organizations that want to add MI to their repertoire of skills.  I personally no longer travel to provide these services, so consultations involving myself are either within greater San Diego area, or provided remotely.  Of course, I can arrange for trainer consultants with expertise in MI and/or other fields whom I've worked closely with over the years to travel to your organization to provide in-person services if needed.  I have substantial experience with curriculum development, needs assessments, staff training, train the trainer, e-learning, blended learning and have worked with a wide range of governmental, non-profit, and corporate organizations.  I also maintain a relationship with a professional training company that is member of the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) that can offer accredited certification, LMS platforms, customize e-learning, develop graphic designs, animation, and audio/video.
