I am now retired from a full-time post as a psychiatric nurse in the NHS. My mental health experience is mainly within Eating Disorders. I have run the practice MI sessions for an MI online course for Chronic Disease Management and I have been an MI trainer and supervisor on a psychosis project for improving healthcare in clients with long term psychosis and schzio-affective disorder.
I now provide MI training and supervision both generic and specific to Eating Disorders, particularly Carers of Eating Disorders as an Independent Trainer and supervisor.
I am employed one day per week on a temporary contract to write a manual for working with Carers of people with Eating Disorders.
I work part-time in an NHS setting and most of the training I have delivered is bought via the NHS. I am always delighted to share all my knowledge and experience with both clinicians, service users and carers. I am passionate about helping carers to understand how people change and have been part of various projects doing this in Eating Disorders for over 20 years.
