About Me

Elizabeth is a training professional with over 10 years of experience delivering introductory, intermediate and advanced trainings in Motivational Interviewing. In addition to hosting several trainings, Elizabeth conducts Motivational Interviewing coding and one on one coaching using the MITI 4.2.1 coding tool in order to help child services professionals understand and develop their Motivational Interviewing skills. For the past 15 years, she utilized her skills and focused her career experience in the juvenile justice field, serving the youth and families of Montgomery and Harris counties. Since June 2013, Elizabeth has played an integral role in the implementation and sustainability of Motivational Interviewing for Harris County, the third largest county in the United States located in Houston, Texas. She has developed expert knowledge in using risk and needs assessments and providing effective case management. Elizabeth's broad skill-set and communication proficiency has resulted in her appointment to vital agency steering committees addressing equity and reimagining juvenile justice.
