I received my Master of Arts degree in Social Work at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, where I was first introduced to Motivational Interviewing. MI now guides my work on the Substance Use Intervention Team at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, an interdisciplinary addiction medicine service based on an SBIRT model. In addition to direct patient care, I offer MI trainings and 1-on-1 coaching for medical, pharmacy, physician assistant and social work students.
