I am retired from a clinical supervisor position at a small Community Mental Health clinic in Gladwin, Michigan. My 25 year career began with providing home base services for adjudicated deliquent youth and their families and supervising a program that worked closely with courts and schools. I was promoted to the Clinical Supervisor position over Outpatient, Home Based, Wraparound and Parent Support Services. I participated in a State Iniative MI Training and was certified as an MI Trainer - Wyoming Protocol in 2010 and became a member of the MINT in 2014. In 2011 I was selected to develop and implement MI Training for the agency I worked for. Over the years I trained over 400 staff in MI Basic, MI Advanced, Coaching Groups and Tape Reviews. Since 2012 I have provided two day MI Basic & Advanced Trainings for the State of Michigan and have provided the same training for other service provider organizations around the State and nationally. Trainees have come from the Physical Health, Behavioral Health, Corrections, Law Enforcement, Probation, Courts and Public Education disciplines. Now that I am retired from Community Mental Health, I plan to continue to do MI Trainings for the State of Michigan and any others that request.
