I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor (LISW-S) and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor-Clinical Supervisor (LICDC-CS). I completed an advanced 10 month training program in cognitive therapy through the Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy. I attended the 3 day MINT TNT in May 2008 with William Miller, PhD and Theresa Moyers, PhD.
I provided social work services in a state psychiatric hospital facilitating groups on the unit and treatment mall and organized peer support groups with my colleagues. I have presented for the National Association of Social Workers in Toledo, Cincinnati, and at the state conference in Columbus. I have also provided trainings for agencies around the state of Ohio. I was part time faculty with the University of Akron teaching a course on group and family counseling.
I'm certified to work with nonbinary and transgender individuals through the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.
I have experience in criminal justice, mental health, substance abuse, inpatient psychiatric treatment, residential treatment, and community mental health. I am also a certified personal trainer.
