I am from Albania living permanently in USA, a lawyer but recently have shifted my focus to psychology with a special focus on addiction. I have been working for more than 10 years in the addiction field, in an outpatient treatment facility back home in Albania and back then I started to learn and practice motivational interviewing with my cleints and realized that this method worked very well, especially with the drug addicted clients/patients. Since then in 2008 I started to focus on Motivational Interviwing by participating in training and research. I am also certified by UNODC United Nation on Drugs and Crime as a Country level trainer on Elements of Psychsocial Treatment - TOT Treatment Package project. I have conducted many trainings in Albania and region mostly in Greece, Hungary and Bosnja-Hercegovina. I speak my mother tongue Albanian as well as Italian, English, and Greek.

Currently I am located in Richmond, VA doing a PhD in Health Psychology. I return to Albania for summers.
