More About Me

About Me

Hello!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory designation, holding a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am pursuing my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University, where my research explores how motivational interviewing learning communities (or communities of practice) can serve as an effective strategy to support meaningful client change.

As co-director of Navigate Counseling and Consultation Services, I have the privilege of leading a mental health practice dedicated to providing affirming care to LGBTQIA+ individuals, relationships, and families. While our practice welcomes clients from all walks of life, we strive to create a safe space for those seeking to explore and affirm their identities.

I feel fortunate to work with young women and LGBTQIA+ individuals as they navigate identity exploration, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self. Creating an affirming and supportive environment for growth is central to my practice.

Trainer Statement

With advanced training in motivational interviewing, I’ve also enjoyed sharing this expertise through trainings for community agencies, large health organizations, and universities. Supporting others in their growth and learning reflects my commitment to fostering positive change both in and beyond the counseling space. I am also deeply invested in connecting with others who are equally passionate about MI, especially through learning communities that foster collaboration and support the application of MI to create meaningful change.
