STANDARDIZED PATIENT INTERVIEW (SPI)
The SPIs will be initiated and recorded by a SP who is provided by the TNT team. The interviews will be 20 minutes long and are scheduled in 30-minute blocks. There are two target changes from which to choose; smoking and sleep. The SPIs are designed to give you an opportunity to demonstrate your MI skills. You can think of it like a demonstration in training. The recording will be audio only and those within the USA are conducted by telephone. Those calls outside the US will be conducted by Zoom and will still be audio only.
When scheduling you will be asked to provide:
- Your name and best email address
- The phone number (for USA applicants) where you plan to take the call.
- If you are outside of the USA, you will be asked to indicate if Zoom works for you and to give your time zone.
- The target change you would like to work with (smoking or sleep).
Your Standardized Patient (SP) will contact you prior to the interview to set up the logistics. You will receive a confirmation email from the scheduling system with instructions for the interview. The SP will call you at the number you provided. You will receive a reminder email the day before your appointment.
