The FSU Center for Behavioral Health Integration is pleased to announce Two Half Day Workshops in Motivational Interviewing (MI) on May 16, 2025 in Tallahassee, Florida. Both workshops are presented by Certified MI trainers and Members of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. CME and CEU’s will b offered for each workshop. Workshop 1: FROM ADVICE TO ACTION: Implementing MI in Health Care Settings (Judith Carpenter and Dr. Heather Flynn). This workshop is intended for anyone working in a health care context who addresses behavior changes such as engagement or follow up with referrals for medical care, treatment adherence, substance use, diet/nutrition, physical activity, medical decision-making or any other health-related behavior. This may include physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians or specialists, Physician Assistants, nutritionist, midwives, doulas, lactation consultants or other health professions. Prior training or experience with MI can be at any level. See attached flyer for more information
Workshop 2: ELEVATING YOUR MI PRACTICE: Refining your Skills and Strategies (Dr. David Rosengren and Dr. Joel Porter). This workshop is intended for anyone who has had some MI training and practice, and would like to continue to develop and refine skills, regardless of the context or setting. The workshop will draw on techniques from practice in MI and from established self-reflection techniques.
