Join us for an MI Clinical Case Consultation, a small supervision/consultation group for clinicians and certified professionals who want to get better at working with client ambivalence in all its forms: ambivalence about changing behaviors, about feeling feelings, and about the deeper existential questions, like whether to give up being depressed or to let go of an identity built around suffering.
The Group is for those who are seeing clients regularly and are ready to do what it takes to reach the next level of their skillfulness. Whether you've never shown your work to anyone, or you have and know exactly what it's worth, you're welcome here.
What makes this group different is that we work with real clinical material. Each week a member brings a recording, transcript, or verbatim, and if they don't have a tape, we'll role-play the client together so we can get a feel for what's actually happening in the session, both for the client and for the helper.
The aim is two-fold: to understand the client more deeply through a clinical lens, and to explore our options for how to approach and position ourselves as helpers in the hard moments.
Facilitated by Sky Kershner, MSW, DMin, MINT Certified Trainer, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, LPC-ALPS Supervisor, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the WVU School of Medicine.
This is a new seven-session weekly group, held Wednesdays at 3:00 PM Eastern beginning August 5, 2026. The group is limited to five, and all five seats are open.
Cost is $210 for the series ($30 per session).
