Hi there! My name is Teague, and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong focus on healthcare and mental health. I have extensive experience both utilizing and training others in the use of motivational interviewing in healthcare settings, including primary care, specialty care, integrated behavioral health, and outpatient mental health care. I regularly train and consult with medical professionals - such as primary care providers, nurses, and social workers - to help them effectively incorporate MI into their daily workflows and patient interactions. I have facilitated both small and large group workshops (both virtually and in person) and offer tailored individual and small-group consultation.
I am certified in perinatal mental health and am particularly passionate about supporting healthcare providers in engaging with patients during pregnancy and postpartum, addressing challenges such as perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, behavior change, and patient ambivalence. As a practicing psychotherapist, I work with people ages 18+ and, in addition to my perinatal work, focus on supporting those experiencing depression, anxiety, and difficult life transitions. I also have professional experience working within the juvenile justice and legal systems, academia/research, career coaching, and collegiate health services.
I enjoy finding new ways to incorporate Motivational Interviewing into existing workflows and therapeutic techniques, and hope to bring some fun and laughter into the work we do together.
