I have been utilizing Motivational Interviewing since 2003 and enjoy training others to learn how to apply MI in their own work. My work has included using MI with folks that struggle with drug & alcohol use, high risk sexual behavior, HIV care, CWS issues, adolescent and teenage risk behaviors, teens on probation, health behavior change related to healthy coping skills and relationships, engagement in treatment, advance care planning, and general changes in the lives of adults, families and children. I became a MINT trainer in 2009 when I attended the TNT in Sitges, Spain. I have trained nurses, MFT's, social workers, CPS workers, associates, speech therapists, physical therapists, probation officers, managers, supervisors, care coordinators and peer specialists. In addition, I have provided MI training and coaching circles focusing on skill acquisition paying particular attention to engagement and implementation.
