Since 1995, I have been working as an addiction advisor/psychotherapist at the Polish Society for the Prevention of Drug Addiction and my company. I work therapeutically mainly with adolescents but also with adults in the area of addictions in Bydgoszcz, Poland. In 2008, I completed my first MI training conducted by Dr. Ralf Demmel. I graduated from MINT TNT in 2013. From the beginning of my career, I have been cooperating well as an independent expert National Center for Addiction Prevention at the Ministry of Health in Poland. I conduct MI training for therapists, caregivers, teachers, doctors, social workers, and prison workers. I am an academic teacher at the Faculty of Education of the Casimir the Great University in Bydgoszcz. Currently, I cooperate with the Polish Society of Motivational Interviewing based in Gdańsk. In 2018-2019, I was the head of the first research project in Poland on the effectiveness of MI in a brief intervention for Polish teenagers using psychoactive substances (drugs and alcohol) who were in conflict with the law. The study was conducted throughout the country in 25 cities.
