I received my Master of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration. I am currently working at The Center for Veterans and Their Families at Rush as part of the Road Home Program. I also teach part time at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Illinois), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (Illinois IAODAPCA), and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. Additionally, I have experience with and interests in mindfulness based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

In the spirit of MI, my training style is collaborative and I inroporate various forms of learning including didactic lecture, experiential exercises, and focused conversation. I am able to provide introductory, intermediate, and advanced trainings in Motivational Interviewing that vary in length from a half day to intenstive/multiple day seminars. I also teach a 30 hour course in MI at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (SSA).
