Dorothy has actively participated in projects related to general Chinese population and ethnic minority health, aiming to promote cancer screening and prevention through the adoption of skills such as motivational interviewing. Dorothy conducts motivational interviewing sessions for various populations. For example, she works with older Chinese adults to enhance their faecal occult blood test uptake, and with South Asian women to enhance their HPV vaccine uptake.
Dorothy is also a nurse educator. She is nursing students' advisor who provides appropriate support and counselling to students when they encounter challenges in learning and exhibit some behavioural and academic issues.
