A licensed Social Worker for 27 years, Mike managed the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Addiction Services until 2 years ago when we transferred to manage the Community Psychiatry Service and the Partial Hospitalization Services.
In addition, Mike is the Lead Social Worker for Ambulatory Services where he developed a model for Advancement for Social Workers to progress their career and professional development.
I have been training hospital staff in MI for the last 4 years. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to train Social Workers, Nurses, Psychiatry Residents, Addiction Counselors, and Medical Assistants. I recently taught students at the School of Dentistry
I am currently working with leadership to develop a training program for nurses and creating a learning community at the Medical Center.
