My professional and educational background focus on public/community health nursing with a PhD in public health and health promotion/behavior change theory. I've enjoyed research on each of these topics and MI. In addition to consulting, I am affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Nursing as a primary educator & researcher on MI. I've been lucky enough to work with health care professionals in and from different countries both online and synchronously. Currently working on research and exploration over a decade of MI in formal education, suicide loss survivors and MI, Fall Prevention & MI, Pain management & MI, burnout & MI in providers. Individual and group coarching offered and coding using MITI. Online work in multiple platforms.
Social action at the community level can happen through provider understanding and acceptance of individual behavioral choices.
