I was drawn to Motivational Interviewing after seeing how compliance-focused approaches in child welfare often led to unfavorable outcomes and compounded trauma for children. I became passionate about using collaboration, empathy, and partnership to support meaningful change. While much of my experience is in child and family services, I've seen the power of this approach across a variety of settings, helping clients and professionals engage more effectively in the change process.
With a strong dedication to the principles of Motivational Interviewing, I focus on strengthening professionals' ability to engage clients through partnership, empathy, and empowerment. My training supports client-centered practices that can lead to sustainable and authentic change.
