More About Me

About Me

Eight years experience working as a clinical social worker on interdisciplinary teams in school, shelter, supportive housing, HIV, primary care, emergency services, and inpatient. I am a systems thinker passionate about transformative justice for people experiencing homelessness and impacted by structural and interpersonal violence, abuse, and harm.

As a clinician, I integrate intersectional and relational frameworks to center the culture and knowledge of each person, family, and community in transformative change. My approach is informed by critical theories on trauma, attachment, narrative, behavior, dialectics, health, and social care.

I uphold optimal health for all people experiencing homelessness, living with a disability and/or chronic health condition, and the various impacts of traumatic experiences and crisis:

  • depression
  • suicidality
  • anxiety
  • panic
  • anger
  • aggression
  • traumatic stress
  • dissociation
  • hearing voices and extreme states
  • mania
  • harmful alcohol and drug use
  • isolation
  • bereavement
  • grief

Member of the motivational interviewing network of trainers (MINT), 2014-2018. Board certified supervisor for social workers in the state of New Mexico since 2018.
