James is a qualified Social Worker (MA Social Work), and University Lecturer (Associate Fellow (AFHEA).
He has worked in the drugs and alcohol field with children in care, young offenders and as a manager in the NHS with children and young people in treatment . He also worked with adults in drugs and alcohol treatment. He has also worked as a Social Worker with Children, Young People and Families. He is currently a Freelance trainer delivering training in these fields.
James is also a keen marathon runner (5 to date) and walker (currently completing the Wainwrigths in the Lake District)
