I practice Motivational Interviewing as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and support a human services workforce in growing their skills. I started my career in emergency shelters and community mental health, supporting individuals with serious and persistent mental illness with their employment goals. While completing my Masters in Counseling Psychology at Lewis and Clark in Portland, Oregon, I transitioned to working in private vocational rehabilitation, where I served a broader range of individuals with diverse abilities and provided consultation and training to various businesses. I have worked in a public role for the past 25 years. I have been training MI since 2007 and joined MINT in 2014. I offer a range of training and coaching to individuals and groups.
I am passionate about helping individuals to increase their MI skills and find their own style and practice within the Spirit of MI. I utilize the MITI and MICA in training and coaching to help individuals and groups to support the development of quality MI interactions. My coaching style is relaxed and individualized. I've had the opportunity to be a Trainer Support, Co-Trainer, Lead Trainer, Trainer Reviewer and Applicant Reviewer for our MINT TNT process and enjoy assisting those who are interested in MINT membership to reach that goal.
