Over 30 years of combined substance use, trauma, and mental health experience in community mental health, hospitals, residential facilities, detox unit, and private practice. PhD in Counselor Education from University of Akron (2004), MA in Counseling (1994) from Ohio State University; Currently in private practice and serves as adjunct faculty at Kent State University teaching the MI course in the graduate counselor education program.
MINT Member began in 2008, left and re-admitted in 2025; Trained in MITI Coding System (2009); Conducted MI trainings for professionals and support staff in behavioral health, criminal justice, healthcare and educational specialists. Consistently rated as above average or excellent for any training conducted, with participants commenting that the training was highly engaging, educational, and informative. Will adapt MI trainings to specific needs of agency.
